Not sure if this is the correct section as this is a buy, sell, trade. I'm not selling any laser point but I looking to buy a tail cap for my 200mw red laser...

Here is the deal. I just took out my 200mw red laser pointer from o-like just to use for a few mins and guess what? The tail cap doesn't click on and off anymore. I was wondering if anyone has a replacement tail cap that will fit for the laser pointer.

I had the laser pointer for over a year so I assume it's past warranty and I'm not sure Susie will send me a replacement one.

Here is the link to the exact laser point I bought New Style waterproof red laser 200mW /adjustable [OLNWRL200] - $55.99 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce

If you click the link you will see a picture of the tail cap.

Once again, I'm sorry if this is the wrong section but I'm looking to buy a replacement tail cap.

I had an issue with the tailcap on my first laser, which was a 200mW Red from Rayfoss. I believe you can use fine tipped tweezers and tighten the tailcap and it may fix the problem. Atleast that was the issue mine had.

Hope that helps,
Isaac

I'm not sure this one can be fixed. I took the tail cap off and I shacked it and can hear some metal piece moving around.

I appreciate the reply. I'll go ahead and email them and see what they can do and I might end up having to buy a replacement tail cap.

If anyone knows how to repair the tail cap or knows about one that will fit let me know, I can send it to you and give you a few $ for the repair.

I just hate to get a replacement from o-like and it break again..:(

I've repaired several tail clicks for my lasers. I could probably give it a shot with no promises. Some pictures would help

I've tried to repair the click button but it looks to be riveted. I sent an email to o-like and I'll see what they say. If not, I'll send it over to you and let you work your magic. I don't expect you to fix it as it's already broken but how worse can it get :)

Take the tailcap apart and show us the switch. It must be a generic clicky.

Sorry about that I've been away from the forums. Susie is going to send me a replacement tail cap all I have to do is pay the shipping.

I accidentally ripped the orange rubber boot for the click switch so it might not be waterproof anymore.

I'll see if I can get a youtube video up of that switch and make it private or unlisted. Thanks for the help everyone.

Honestly, I think it is ridiculous for them to expect you to pay the shipping. That is their f***-up, they should put up the shipping costs.

I hear you to be honest I really only used the laser for about 30mins over the coarse of over a year that I've owned it. It mainly sits in a shoe box and I only play with my laser every so often. I didn't expect the button switch to break like it did.

Ohhh, you have owned it for awhile already. That's why. I didn't realize.

Yup, I've owned it for a long time but only played with the laser a few times, then it just sits in a box and then every so often I take it out and play with it. I send them the $3.00 and I'm not sure I'll get a tracking number but I should see the switch in a week or two.
