Not at all. I can see if I can find some pictures, or Moe may be able to post some. The heatsink itself, is just a 12mm bore. It is held in by the bezel, and is turned to fit the head of the host nicely, allowing for a larger mass in the head. Then there are 2 more parts which thread into the head. One is counterbored for the driver, and the other screws down onto it holding it in place and making the negative connection I believe.

Greetings,

I was hoping you would chime in as I knew you would explain it better. Here are a few pics. My camera is very cheap so quality is not that good. Still you can see how gorgeous it is....

Thanks for the video! I'd say it describes how everything goes together well!

Rick's design works well and is easily mass produced. Given the number he sells he needs something that works, easily mass produced and not too expensive.
This one is a custom fit for the MX900 and not one you can also drop into a C8 as his can do either.
Should make for superior heat dissipation given the phenomenal workmanship of MrCrouse. Just need the module from DTR and will know whether it does work as expected.

Thanks,
Moe

i like the custom fit of yours. ricks is good for switching hosts but if i get a MX900, there is no need to switch hosts since i like the MX over the C8 :)

Agreed. I think the MX900 is a superior host and for the time being will be the one I will use for several builds. Hopefully will have a few available around the end of July or so to offer.
