I'm glad you were able to get one of these diodes, Sta. It is a nice light blue color. I'm sure you will love it. I won't tease you with a photo of mine. :crackup:

Hi i am looking to buy 1 of the 477nm/480nm laser diodes if anyone has just the diode for sale and no host that would be great please pm me :)

I didn't think there were any more diodes around for sale. Wasn't there talk of Sharp possibly releasing more of these pretty soon? Seems like I read that somewhere around here.
 
Negative. The 477's were a once-and-done thing. These were test batches to get a 488nm diode, which sharp was supposed to put out around the new year but still hasn't for some reason.
 
Hi i don't mean to tease but i have 1 in stock. I put it up in a glass case with laser alarms . Not really about the alarms but i do have 1 left . price a Hundred Trillion Dollars .

Did that come from Jordan, or was it part of another batch that was earlier, Rich? There were some 505nm diodes that were below 505nm and case neutral, but I think I saw most of them. All that went out had the wavelength at 18 degrees C and 100 mA.

These were purchased by me when they first came out on the forum. I took a chance and ordered some . No not from Jordan at the time i don't think he a
had any on his site.

He had a few on his site. I bought one and it's still going strong. Sucks that there won't be anymore of them.
 
I remembered Dora & Alice mentioned this and Osram diodes being restock after Chineese New Year.

they should have 4-6 left of old stock.

If you can read the micro-printing around the diode's window, I can tell you the range where they typically fall, as I kept copious notes on all the different iterations.

How much were they going for? Were these around 480nm or 488?

I'm still trying to find a nice 473-480nm pointer to replace the pointer that got stolen with my bag recently. Finding a diode would be half the battle.

I may just end up buying a sanwu, although I prefer pointers with a momentary switch.

Thieves suck.
