WTB: A couple LM1117 chips from someone in Canada

Have you had any more luck than I with those diodes?

I lit the first one up with 200mA, and had nothing but a dim red. I thought I had done something wrong, so I lit up another one. Same deal.

Then I tried 100mA, still, almost no light.

Am I just having a bad day, or are those definitely not capable of 200mA +?

I hadn't powered it up yet. It should be able to handle ~400ma unless the seller sold You other than what was claimed. I'll power it later tonight and see what I get.

Just powered it up with Variable PS, and the Diode went LED @ ~150ma!!

I think the seller sold You much weaker Diodes than was advertised!!!
