ofcourse! if its a DIY, it will be even more powered than if we bought from a company out there. :D

a 900mW 405nm DIY is "Usual" than >500mW 405nm @ $100 (with 1 yr warranty) lasers product out there ;)
 
Another thing I am considering is building my first one from scratch!

I would need a diode, driver, focus lens and axiz housing. Open to many things really!
