I'm interested in purchasing a 1watt IR ...... I would like to purchase a complete build

Don't really remember seeing any on here for sale... would be great if you could point me in the right direction.

Thanks everyone hope you had a good holiday! !!!!!!!

I just received my first 445 1.5mw custom bob from rocket. I am just amazed by the power and I have been looking at more burning lasers. The IR's are cheap (so I hear) ........and I am looking to expand my collection! !! I am aware of the false sense of security that comes win the ir lasers. ( GLASSES ARE A MUST)

But to answer your question I don't need one lol I want one.

For some reason when I read that I thought was adam sandler yelling that...lol

Well do you know where I can get one???????

So do no lpf members specialize in this kinda build. I gotta buy it from the website???

I have never seen a custom IR laser up for sale in the Buy/Trade/Sell section of forum. So I think you will have to buy it from the website. I think most members dont like the risk involved with them and the responsibility that they will have when they sell them.

IR setups are really high power and are that much more dangerous. It might make sense to be also asking about the glasses you will need for such a laser.

High power IR diodes are multimode.. so the focusing won't allow the dot to burn even as well as a 445.

I have 440mW 808, and my 120mw 405 burns twice as well.

If you want cheap burning power, go for a Co2.

Thanks for the info, Im not into IR so I didn't know they dont burn as well.

I wouldn't trust those o-like 808nm glasses unless you LPM them.
Really, other then OEM, I wouldn't trust any IR glasses unless I LPMed them. They may be fine but certainly not worth the risk with IR.

CO2 gas lasers have the benefit of being blocked by most any glasses. A lot of normally transparent materials are opaque to 10600nm CO2.

I *do* have an IR laser I wouldn't mind parting with. I think it specs in at around ~700mW if you run it off of a 18650 or it will clock in at over 1W if you run it with two batteries 16340s, but the driver quickly overheats when that happens, so you only get a few seconds.

Anyway, it's in a stripped-down C6 host and has an aluminum heatsink. One of my more favorite builds - it's ALL SILVA BABY.

Anyway, PM me if interested.
