WL section on Futureweapons is REDICULOUS

WL has an ad up on their photonic disruptor page, apparently it was on futureweapons. Its one of the most ridiculous examples of blatant false advertising I have ever seen in my life, if not the worst ever.

In the video, a terrorist with a hostage runs out a door and a soldier points the thing in his face from about 20 feet away. For SOME REASON the terrorist is like:

"Hmmm! There is a laser in my eye! I think I'll look at it as long as I can and not look away like I reflexively should."
"Ouch! Its a laser! I think I'll drop the hostage AND my gun and lean over without resisting because I'm going to look straight at the laser until it hurts."
"Ooh! Laser! I think I'll just drop my gun and not retaliate by shooting in that general direction like I would if I wasn't an actor in an obvious exaggeration of what would really happen"

I dont have to say how sick I am of WL and TL at this point.

I think that the time for complaining about them is over and the time to take some type of action against them has come. I have no idea what that would be and I am open to all ideas.
 





I think they have already made their own bed and soon they will be laying in it. Or you could say soon they will self destruct. Word on them is getting around.
 
I saw that episode, that was pretty funny, especialy when the person shined it right at his face, he said "let me stand back some so it wont hurt you".... sounded like he knew alot, at least they enlarged the dot to half a foot where you might not go permanantly blinded..

That show could be so much better if they cut the BS out of it. Its the same thing for every weapon. The bald guy meets someone, takes the weapon, and shoots it while explaining the specs of it in some over exaggerated whisper.

Yea, kinda gets old really fast, just like brainiac.
 
That show is lame. It makes me upset that they call the show "future weapons" and then show off and exaggerate weapons and gear the military is ALREADY and HAS BEEN using.
They can only show things big brother has already authorized and declassified; I think there is a 5-10 year lag between what we know to exist and what technologies are still kept a secret... so there's no futuristic aspect about anything they show. They may as well call the show "Lame."

And the bald guy is an idiot. Edit: why does the word I d i o t show up as 'the?' Is it really that bad?

Anyway, I think that episode came out before WL started selling "Photonic Disruptors." And I don't think WL manufactures them (they don't have their stupid logo on it). They probably buy all the shi++y units left over and sell them.

I still want one because it's waterproof.

LOL yeah. one thing about wicked, and that i don't think they realise, is that they have a record in guinness, when optotronics CLEARLY has higher powered lasers than them, maybe we should contact guinness ;D
 
Instead of looking into the beam, the terrorist should have reflexively looked away?

Then what?

How should that segment have been portrayed to make it more believable?

Then the terrorists shoot the hostage.

If they used a 2 Watt IR laser it might be more fun.
Or they could just fill the room with chloroform.
Or Nerve gas.
 
The DX waterproof laser doesn't cost $600.

They have a record in guiness because they're the only ones that showed up.They're clearly not the real record holders but still they put that on their site to show off and to brag about something that isn't even true.Makes you think about how many more lies the record book has to offer....

I so hate the way they brag about all their articles, just look at these:

100 miles my a**, the dot would be 160 meters in diameter.A mere 300mW spread across 160 m and greatly reduced by atmospheric impurities would most likely not be visible at all....

The guy who hosts Future weapons is a freaking douche, too.

AS AN EX NAVY SEAL I HAVE A LOT OF EXPERIENCE WITH SHAVING MY HEAD SO I DONT LOOK LIKE I'M ACTUALLY 49 AND WHISPERING DRAMATICALLY SO I SOUND COOLER, LITTLE DO I REALIZE EVERYONE WHO I DEAL WITH ON THIS SHOW THINKS I'M A FREAKING JACKASS.

Seriously, if you watch the expressions on the faces of the people he interacts with, they all think he's a loser and an annoying sack of garbage. I'm inclined to agree.
