Witch 400 mW 532 nm Laser should i Buy ?

Both will have the same beam shape/size. They use the same module inside, only the host is different.

If you want a nice beam I do not recommend these lasers. Lower power DPSS lasers typically have a smaller beam and much better divergence. My 200mW 532nm laser looked just as bright as one of these because the beam on those lasers are huge and my 200mW had a really small beam, so it was the same power density.
 
They are comparable and please don't take their described parameters seriously. For example, 1.2 vs. 1.5mrad.. Despite different companies they are the same in terms of beam quality - low quality. There is kind of beam lottery with cheap lasers.. Usually it is 3,5mm diameter and 1.5-2mrad of divergence..
 
Hey, Thanks for your Help. In my opinion the O-Like host is nicer so if i would but this laser "typ" i would take this choise.

Whats about the Quality of the Olike ones and witch laser should i take if i like to have a great beam ?

I would just stay away from most of the cheap lasers on other sites and hold out for one with the specs you want on the buy/sell/trade threads.

As I said, the lasers internals are the same. The beam you get depends on the luck of the draw because not every laser is put together the same.

If you really want a good beam, go with a lower power laser. The beams on the lasers you linked are fat and ugly and they diverge fast.
 
For that $200 maybe you can see what a company like Lasever can offer (email them to ask for prices). They're usually better quality, better heatsinked, and they actually manufacture them rather than just piece modules together with hosts. With these pre-made lasers from companies like O-like you might as well just buy the module directly and put it in your own host (such as from Lazerer) because it'll be just as cheap and is pretty easy.

Hell, you could just check out what Lazerer has to offer anyway. At least Lazerer meters the lasers before sending them.

Hey thanks for help.

I send Lasever a request via Mail, Pointing Stability = <0.05 mrad seems to be very nice compared with the lasers from other companys.

I hope the lasers are not so expensive ;)
 
Another nice thing about lasers that are manufactured rather than just pieced together in hosts is that they'll have better duty cycles, be better filtered, and have nice safety features. You may end up with a lower powered laser, but at least it is better quality and you can run it longer. Plus, many cheap-o handheld lasers is that their claimed power output may include IR, which can be up to 30% or more of the power, rather than the filtered output.
 
No, WL is overpriced and low quality. Their Arctic laser used to be sought after because of the nice looking host, but now other companies like Lazerer have lasers that have hosts like WL's so there's no point in buying from WL at all. If you do a search on the board and you'll see what people think about them (generally negative).

I have to partially disagree. Yes, the internals are the same and the beam diameter is bigger compared to the smaller (<=200mW) lasers, but my deviates less than such a smaller laser unit.

I do own a few of the small ones and an overspec 200mw one, but the one from laserer is really a beast doing now 500+ mW.

So If I were you, I wouldn´t look which host is nicer or which one is a bit cheaper, but for the service a company is giving you. O-Like went down the hills, so lazerer is still the much better choice.
