so today at 8 in the morning i had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed and so far i am in no pain, obviously due to the fact that the percocet is working well but still, it went great! they doctor had them out in 10 minutes! share your wisdom teeth experience with me because i am really bored!
 





i had gums over mine as well but i didn't have a cavaty yet, i was asleep when they took them out
 
the advised me to be asleep in the process and yes i would have been if the choice was mine and i admit it. i seriously can't remember the car ride home which was 30 minutes. all i remember before i fell asleep was getting extremely dizzy and then waking up trying to get into a wheelchair because i couldn't stand by my self
 
i was gonna get all four of them removed, but i got another x-ray like 4 months later and now EVERY single one of them is aligned and ready to pop out :D

no need for painful surgery



hope you don't feel any pain, though.
 
Apparently my wisdom teeth are all perfectly fine. No need to come out at all :)
 
I had to have all 4 of mine taken out in a hospital OR - under general anesthesia. I also had to have an oral surgeon rather than an ordinary dentist do the job because the teeth were so jammed and mis-aligned that the surgeon had to break away part of my jawbone to get them out!

I had to have multiple dental surgeries in my teens + several years of braces - I paid a painful, arduous price for a pretty smile - but I'm glad I did.
 
Well, my wisdom teeth are fine....

But for 3-4 years around Grade 6 I had to have plates in my mouth to fix some stuff up. I also had to have surgery to fix some teeth things.

Braces were also suggested, but I declined. My teeth came out pretty straight anyway, so it seems I didn't need them after all :)
 
Mine grew in when I was around 15... that shit was painful!! tender gums all the time while they're breaking through. Anyway, all four of mine are grown in and are perfectly straight. My dentist said it's pretty rare for everything to be perfect. I cant imagine not having them!! It would feel really weird to chew food etc etc.
 
I got mine out about a month or 2 ago. All 5 of them :D. Yes, I had 5 wisdom teeth. In the upper right hand side of my mouth was where the second one was hiding. They did put me to sleep for mine too, and frankly I probably would've wanted that too since during my first and only cavity filling, the dentist screwed the painkiller up and missed the nerve when he injected it. Result, I went through the whole drilling process before saying "ow", and the dentist was like, "that wasn't supposed to hurt!!" and it HURT.

But back to wisdom teeth, I think your gums hurt a lot more several days after the surgery since you are on so many drugs the day of and days right after. The actual healing process is what hurt me.

and dude i can tell you

when you've had braces, there's NOTHING ELSE that can make you feel pain in your mouth. ever.

Brave has nothing to do with it... any dental surgeon in the US will REQUIRE you to go under general anesthesia (unconcious, unable to move) for removing 4 impacted wisdom teeth.  The amount of work it takes to get those bastards out in such a small space requires you to not move at all.  Personally I think it's stupid and not brave to remain awake during major surgery (yes, that would be major surgery).  I have personally seen how delicate the structures in the human body are, and the chance that you'd twitch and them slice a nerve or artery is very great in a surgery in such a small place.  So, don't go around questioning a person's strengths based on your (IMO stupid) idea of bravery.
