One moment, at first I saw some guys modifying the playstation guitar hero guitar, and I thought they were just gonna wire guitan buttons to the sensors where the balls hit, but I later realized that the software itself was modified.

How could them modify a playstation game?

It could be a program they had made to look like the original. Or they could have simply reprogrammed the controls and input via a separate computer interface
