Wish me luck. If they are close to 200mW that would be good for lots of people. If I get screwed I learned a valuable lesson.Well, all of the 70-100mw 532nm lasers I have pull abut 350 ma at 4 volts, as that one does.
I've been unable to find a solid 200mw laser module for a price under 200 dollars, so I hope it is! Good luck.
Edit: I should have added, prices are slowly coming down for higher power 532nm lasers and I see a lot of 200 mw non-pointer lasers listed on ebay from China for under 100 dollars, I just don't know which ones to believe.
Here ya go. High Quality Professional 200mW 532nm Green Laser Diode Module Green Beam Lab | eBay
This seller looks promising. 50-200mW 532's for either 18650 battery or AAA. I may build a 200mW pen too and follow Pmans tutorial to make it focusable. That would be pretty neat.
Keep in mind I bought my 400mW 532 from O-like for $185 and they offer a 500mW version for $240. So the modules have to be out there under what you are paying.
Just buy a 5$ fasttech module. What people STILL don't understand (for some reason) is that
a) false advertising is everywhere with chinese products
b) all those 532 modules are exactly the same.
You paying 60$ for that "200mW" module will get you nothing more than a 5$ 532 module, except less money in your wallet.
That's because those use different, larger modules, with larger crystals, better heat management, etc etc.
So are you saying there is no difference in power output at all between a module advertised as 5mW or 200mW? Im confused.
So basically it is you opinion I have just pissed away 60 bucks?
That fucking sucks.
