A question for anyone who has a laserbtb PL 405/445nm 500-2000mW.

Will a 12mm module from DTR and Driver will fit in a laserbtb/sky host?

It would be great if someone wouldn't mind taking some pics and measurements of the host and its parts disassembled.

You can't take the Pl host apart. I bought one about 1.5 years ago and it died on after a while. So I tried to take it apart and its all super glued/ pressure fitted there is almost no way it can be taken apart after being put together.

Destroyed in the attempt or something you may be willing to part with?

I know of a couple of solvents that have a good chance of removing the glue without harming the host.

Even if you manage to disassemble it, the heatsink isn't large enough to handle a NUBM06 reliably. Have you considered using a PL-E Pro host from Jetlasers?

It's on my short list, do they have an option/be willing to sell just the host?

Mine got destroyed while taking apart and the heat sink really isn't that big.

Do you recall if it was large enough to fit 12mm module?

I'm looking for a 15sec max runtime so the size of the sink isn't an issue.

If you're really nice and leave chocolates on his pillow or something, Gray from Jetlasers can probably hook you up with a bare host. I asked him for one of the bare 473nm DPSS modules because they're the only ones that make them that powerful, and he said sure it would be possible to get just the module. Not sure if this was because we know each other and I'm a returning customer, but you can always shoot them an email with nothing to lose.
