Wicked lasers white laser?

it can be.. about 2 years ago WL came here for a contest to have a member here build one for them lol.

michael.

no bulkier than some of the larger maglite hosts.

michael.

Depends on the configuration.. Ive been working on an adjustable multi-colour
for a customer the internal head is 25mm

Out of all the ways it could be done, I went with the smallest, naturally :eg:

Rubbish.

Laser can't be white, because laser is monochromatic by definition.

And here is where this unit started in 2009 but Sightfx is not involved any more, he did invent this set up however.

Rog8811 invented the concept and made the very first one several years ago in 2008.

Surely this can't be possible in a handheld.

Besides blue lasers look white on a sh*tty camera.

The only thing im not fond of with those builds is the bulkiness.. That and the
final product was a handheld with a really large head and off center aperture.
A nice build overall, just not my 'cup of tea'

My goal from the beginning was a centered exit beam and no more than a 30mm
head for the laser.

If I wasn't adding variable control, the length would reduce to 100mm or so
vs 160mm where the 'on the fly' linear control section will take up real estate..

Read the Description under the video on Youtube. Its was for the Wicked Laser challenge.:D

It can be done.

But its how good they pull it off.

Thats funny. I had a guy with no posts ask me how it could be done, a few months ago. I wonder if thats him.

I remember the contest. WL said if you could design them a white laser, you'd win a white laser, LMAO. Its was quickly laughed off the forum. If you could already build a white laser, why would you need to win one? Plus you'd be making WL 10s of thousands of dollars to boot.
