Why is my red laser brighter than my green one outside?






On dust;
Dwellings in general will act as "dust collectors". You will USUALLY have more particulates inside than you will outside.

Where I live its the opposite. All my lasers are brighter outside than inside.

Do you have another explanation of why his red laser is brighter outside??

When you shine it into the sky you have essentially a black background which makes the beam ultra visible. Also indoors you often lose some of the beam to the ambient light created by the dot on what ever surface it is hitting.
 
Its actually the vegetation, and trees throwing pollen and other particulates in the air. Along with other pollution. I've read that people that live in arid areas can hardly see the beam because of the lack of particles in the air. What makes the beam visible is particles. Without particles, there is no beam. Where you live, and time of year dictates how well you will see the beam. So its safe to say, in his environment, there are more particles outside then inside.

WTF guys, you're suppose to be smarter than this. I'm not trolling either. This stuff is basic laser knowledge. Stick to facts, and try to think globally. There are other wolds outside your back yard.
 
Hmm, i'm just curious what happen to a beam if you are at the sea 50 km away from any Land, no wind and daylight evaporation has ended.

LOL at the Phoenix dust storm video, that was a hell of a storm :p

And, i bet if all the Phoenix laser owners, the next time, turn on all their lasers together in the storm, it will be end also better :p :D

When I lived at the beach there was almost no beam on a clear, windless night.

A good example is space. There are no beams in space, because there are no particles for the beam to reflect off. We had a big discussion on this when a couple of NASA guys signed up to ask some questions.

hmmmm maybe i didn't read correctly. but he said 200mw of red, and 5mw of green? the ratio of color mixing is about 4:1 right? also if you are indoors there are lights on. which will make it harder to see the red. when you are out side you darkness. and will see the "truer" color balance.

Well, their guns are, technically, "folgorators", not laser guns, so ..... :p :D
