Okay, hopefully this isn't too stupid of a question, why are there no white lasers on the market?
With the right lens, a white laser could make a really cool spot light...

there are white lasers on the market.

but they are gas lasers to big for a hand held

They're actually just multi-line lasers. There is no white wavelength, you just have to combine colors to get white.

Inside this magic box is a series of 3 powerful red, green and blue lasers and a complicated series of optics to bounce the beams around and ultimately combine them in the place where the fiber optic pigtail leaves the magic box. Or so I understand. I could be wrong.

That's why I had to save it to my hard drive... for uh... later. Yeah, later.

That is just flippin sweet :D :D :D :D The fun I would have with that. ::) Kinda hard to protect your eyes though. :P

to protect eyes = brick wall or find out the lines used nad get protection for thoses

BTW that laser looks like a supercontinium laser or a multiline mixed gas laser for its size ( fullspectrum) or you would just get 3 lines on the prism from the 3 distinct wavelenths

Shouldn't be too hard, just get the blue for the 650, the red for the 532 & 473, and wear them both at the same time! ;D

mfgcn.com sells one as a module, its a RGB, all they did is comobine 3 colors to make white and charge a shitload for it
