As alignment goes: There are quite a number of (chinese made, i suppose) green lasers on the market now that have the crystal set just mounted flush with the pump diode - no lens or other optics in between at all. These might be a lot easier to replace the pump on, since you only have to get its rotation right keeping the spacing between pump and crystal near zero.
Its possible, but probably rare to get such efficiency. Any green DPSS laser will lose 24% power going from 808 to 1064, that is an inevitable quantum loss.
If coupling is perfect, doubling would be almost 50% efficient in your unit - quite amazing, but not impossibe.

I have a CNI pen that averages 171mW that has a 500mW pump, and that isn't from IR.
