What sports do/did you play?

Pick up some weightlifting to help your lower body develop stronger fibers...I think. That and/or make sure you can't hear your own feet when you run. Do you run on pavement or on grass?

As for climbing, it's a completely different set of (upper body) muscles that you work with than you'll see in any other sport, so it doesn't make a huge difference if you lift weights or not. The best exercise for you in this regard is to get a hangboard (cheap example).

We run mostly on pavement. It beats the crap out of my joints and arches.

I don't mean Yosemite junkie climbing, I'm more into mountaineering, which uses the legs more than anything else. I have decent forearms, and can build them up if I need to. For general mountaineering, though, I don't think I will need to climb above a 5.7 (my current outdoor limit) for a while; the Cascades is a lot of talus and glacier. I also have very strong legs. The problem is my heart and lungs; steady exercise helps to keep them strong.

I'm surprised how many people here do tennis, we don't even have a tennis team at our school. :D There's also a lot more soccer than I expected too, usually most kids who do a fall sport at my school do Football (American) or Cross Country.

I'm not that surprised to see how many people here wrestle though, like thebucketbouse said it is mainly a mind game and laser enthusiasts should enjoy that type of stuff. ;D
