Last night I went to the shopping mall (a place I normally avoid on a Friday night) to do some christmas shopping for my wife.
I was walking to the entrance and saw an elderly couple also walking to the door. I walked faster to get there first, and I suppose they were accustomed to having people run in front of them.
I got to the door and waited for them so i could open it for them. The elderly man looked at me like I grew another head when I ushered them through. I think the act of kindness really confused him.
Acts of kindness are a great thing to practice because it makes both the giver and reciever feel good.
