That "may" be the problem, not 100% sure though. Have you tried warming up the laser in your hands for a couple of minutes before using it? That may help you get constant output, what I DO know is it wouldn't hurt to try

"There is a 90 day warranty, so if the unit was not dropped or subjected to excessive voltage, we will replace it.
This kind of failure is not normal and usually only happens when the unit has been dropped or over-voltage batteries were used. If the shock and over-voltage sensors have not been triggered, it will be replaced right away. So if it has not been dropped and no lithium batteries were used, please mail"
Now i know i didnt drop the laser or anything like that. It must have been my batteries although i dont see why. The instructions said to use 1.5 volt, however i used 1.2 volt Eneloops (rechargeable), which as far as i know are not lithium batteries
Could it have been my fault for using those batteries?
