No, he did not modify the driver, he was thinking about doing it but does not have the parts.
Yes, but I don't think he is being truthful.
I am very satisfed with this laser. The price of 170 dollars includes:a 1W 445nm blue laser pointer,(two cr123a battery),a pair of laser glasses, a CR123A charger and includes the shipping fee(DHL.UPS.FedEx.TNT.EMS).

Received laser, however I have used the laser a few times for just a few seconds each time and after shutting it off when i turn it on now the laser light that is emmited is extremely dim. Batteries (2 x 16430 ) are brand new and full charged, so its not the baterries.
How can you be satisfied with a laser that you only turned on a few times for a few seconds..
P.S. I haven't tried yet this modification, 27uH and 4 x 0.33Ω CMS are waiting for shipping.
Another solution :
I tested your laser , 445 diode is dead (very weak ).
You can send me a new 445 diode.
...Is the diode led'd, or just running at such a low power it seems weak? Why would he want a diode if it works, shouldn't he want a new driver?
QUOTE=lasersbee;793172]Not only that.... the seller told the customers that they
should turn up the power on the driver if the Laser's power
was too low...
Ir still falls on the shoulders of the Seller and the warranty
he offered but would not stand by...IMO

If that's the case, in which he was told to up the power, then I don't know what to say haha..
