What Happened to Lifetime17?

I noticed that you can send PMs again, but I don't think Riccardo will respond. He hasn't been on LPF for almost a year. Does anyone have his email address? Or are any of you who use metal lathes able to continue what Riccardo left off?

I still have some heatsinks from Rich, he always did nice work.
A couple things I forgot ad.. The grey host above your black 501B had similar host were the inditations were open and you could see heatsink in between the inditations. Looked really cool and was thinking of buy it but time just got away from me.
Its probably still on his sights.

The other thing I wanted to ad,
my extended 501B host that takes the 2 "18650's" started off as a SciFi "Joker" build. The only thing thats left of the original build is basicly the heatsink.
When I bought it, it lased ok but the beam just got worse and worse to where the bean became this fat scattered blob.

I was new and just tried differeent lenses and nothing helped. I sent to Lifetime to check it out after you brought out the Joker as a rip off con man.
Lifetime and Pman took it on themselves to try and fix the Jokers builds from members who bought from him.

He found my builds diode had a factured or stained glass and no part number at all. He guessed it was some kind of A140 with the obvious heavy heavy hours of use and he used thick solid copper wire that what used in a house lamp and just put some plumbers tape around the diode pins.

The driver was from some type of LED that maby cost $1.99.
He decanned the diode, swapped in a good driver and put the module in the extenend 501B host.
So only 1/2 the diode and heatsink is left from the original..

I love that the 501B hosts come in different colors, it makes them look really good side by side.

How do you keep the copper sink clean?
I sprayed ny copper sink with clear coat. Its still shinny now but in time I might regret it as it wears off:unsure:
Any metal polish will work, you just need some make-up Q-tips to get into the grooves.

"for now, and only for now, I've decided to distance myself from all this for a bit..."

Could only stay away for a month, eh?

Could you make it a year? A decade maychancehaps?

And what does what you wrote have to do with what this post is about?
Totally out of place and pointless... classic provocation, as always!
A month was more than enough...
