Just wanted to find out what guitars people own, I know there are a few people who play on here so get posting ;).

I own :

A squire stratocaster , one of the nicer copies
A vintage les paul
A Music man sting ray (Bass)
A yamaha G-240II (Classical Accoustic, not made any more and over 30 years old)
A stagg accoustic
And finally a bass collection bass dont know the name or anything, but it needs a little work done on it.

I only have one right now.. A late 80's USA made Kramer Nightswan.

I've owned several others in the past (Ibanez, Fender, Yamaha, and multiple Kramers) but just recently got back into playing.

Fender Strat it came with my rockband xbox bundle  ;D ;D ;D

I know I know just trying to convince myself that I am not totally insane yet :P :P

just ordered a somewhat cheap guitar and amp from ebay so i can hopefully learn how to play. 8-) 8-) 8-) i didnt want to waste too much money incase i end up sucking. ;) ;) ;D ;D

For my first and only electric guitar I went to a pawn shop (lol) and picked out a squire. Well it defiantly didn't have the crappy pickups that squires come with, someone changed these, it sounds a lot better than a normal squire. A pawn shop really isnt that bad, if you can sit down and try out each guitar.

Jackson Soloist SL4 is my main guitar, I have a couple other jacksons and an old acoustic.

It has the best action of any guitar I've ever played, perfect for super fast shredding

Wow nice guitars everyone ( that added pics )

ibanez's and guitars of that style usually do have a really nice action, its quite low generally. I like bass guitars that have a low action, cant stand them when you need to press the string half an inch before it touches the fret board.

I used to love gibsons, but I went off them, the neck is just a touch to wide for my liking. I prefer strats and ibanez's now because of the thin neck that they usually have.

personally I dont like that style of guitar and I would rather get this but thats just my taste, I like more plain things.

Maybe if you save up long enough you will get it though, $700 isnt much for a guitar.

normally i dont like those styles either, especially X guitars or really pointy guitars. I dont like the V, but this one i dont mind, it isnt too bad, and there is a spot to rest it on your leg, unlike some of those crazy style guitars you HAVE to stand while you play. I played my friend's Warlock and it didnt bother me too much. Again, atleast this one is comfortable to hold, unlike some other's lol.
Your link you sent me didnt work.

ohh well it was just a link to a steve vai style ibanez.

Personally I like guitars with quite thin necks, as I said I used to like gibsons but the wide neck started annoying me, I prefer a guitar that are comforatble to play, both sitting and standing.

well all i have is my squire, but how thin of a neck does it have compared to most others? i think I too like a thin neck, but i would need to play more guitars to really know

well the neck is alot easier to get your fingers round ( I own a squire also, the volume pot on mine has been changed and I realigned the pick-ups ) but on a gibson its that little bit harder to get your fingers around the neck, not nearly as hard as a classical accoustic guitar but its still harder, although gibsons look and sound great, fenders and squires are just plain nicer to play in my opinion, despite the sound not being quite as good and having quite a bit of buzzing because they dont have double coil pick-ups like the gibsons.

If you want a really nice guitar, the Yamaha SG2000 is amazing, its dead heavy, it has a nice neck, and you can change wether you want to have the pickups single or double coil, just by pushing on the volume knob, sadly they cost in upwards of £1000, usually £2000+.

for the cheapest option I would just go with a squire, even my guitar teacher uses one.
