Luke Skywalker said you can borrow his but make sure you recharge the batteries when you bring it backI just want to build a 5 inch laser that can shoot beams up into space and goes on forever. Including a solid beam and modes to switch (cutting glass mode, safemode, destroy mode, extreme visibility mode). If safemode is turned on, it will do nothing if you point it in your own eye also gives a power equal to 1000W 520nm laser. If cutting mode is on, you can cut through anything instantly(cuts diamonds and super hard minerals). Destroy mode is when you point it at anything, it goes on as a laser gun that shoots infinite beams that blow up when impact of a surface. Lastly VISIBILITY MODE is the beam is a solid BEAM that shoots strait up and goes on forever making it equal to 10,000W OF GREEN 520nM POWER!! Id make sure I save enough money to invent one!!!!
Its funny when i think about it but lasers make the best lighters XD that at least is the practical use i use them for. And if anyone has ever tried to light a firework with a slight breeze they know how much better a laser makes things.
Sounds like a question all my female relatives would ask. Unlike male relatives, who just say "whoa cool". I like the pretty colours, and setting stuff on fire with light. Something primal yet futuristic about it.
I show them to my men friends, they say " wow, that's cool, where can I get one. LOL
Same exact thing with me. Women I tell about them. ( don't mention on a first date, trust me on this one ) Ask what am I going to do with that?

Why can't they all be cool, Like Laserchick.
Haha yeah, the conversation between me and say my mother for example goes:
"Gabe, why do you need another laser? You already have like ten."
"Why do you need all those purses?"
"Because I like them and... err... I can't explain it but you wouldn't understand."
"Same here."
"... fair enough"
Also, from my memory Laserchick is the only woman, active or inactive, that I've seen on these forums. Anybody know why this hobby tends to draw men in more than women?

It's sort of like how guys are always thought of as the pyros...(i mean we are XD) but its more that society sort of expects us to be obsessed with everything dangerous but expects girls to just go shoppingWell, where are they going to get the money from to buy a 300$ laser when they already spent that 300$ on useless clothing and such? Haha, I think it's just more of a guys thing. Same with cars, although that market is so much bigger that you're likely to see some women every now and then. There's really only one forum that focuses on lasers specificly, compared thousands of forums that focus on cars.
Hey, guys go shopping too. It's just mainly for lasers, tools, guns and things with powerful engines. :drool:It's sort of like how guys are always thought of as the pyros...(i mean we are XD) but its more that society sort of expects us to be obsessed with everything dangerous but expects girls to just go shopping
It's very interesting. Sometimes I would get very confused as to why, say, my girlfriend would spend $200 on a bikini. That is however, until I realized they are just as confused as to why I'd spend $400 on an inefficient flashlight. Once, right before I was about to drop a bunch of money on my 593.2nm 2-9mW GLP, my aunt said to me, "so what are you buying again? That yellow light?". It was just they way she called it a light, made me question my entire hobby. For about five seconds, and then I bought it anyway.
