hello everyone
i am a newbie and i recently bought a phoenix 75 green laser from WL, finding out a bout this incredible website forum only today!! i did days of research b4 buying from WL, and looking around your website it looks like i made a mistake.
i also noticed that under the buy sell category i might be able to buy a "homemade" laser.
Can anyone tell me if WL is really bad? have i just wasted 200dollars?

WL is pretty bad, but there's a chance that it is in-spec. I would recommend sending it to one of the trusted members here that owns a laser power meter to measure the output for you. If it's underpowered, then you could make a dispute with Paypal (if you used it) or try to get a refund, or send it back and meter it again until you get a good one. Though, most people eventually just give up when they do that. :P I hope it doesn't come to that.

thanx for the reply
i have not received it yet, it should be with me in a couple of days hopefully, i will keep you posted.
i allready know i am gonna want a more powerful one in the near future and i am pretty positive i will not buy from WL anymore >:(, main reason being they r just wayyyyy too expensive!!comparing them with other websites, but i will learn from my mistake.
Anyone can tell me how much power will i get using a phoenix 75mw with lense cap?somebody said 200mw.....

Just wanted to say Hello,

I have been trolling your forums for some time and I thought I had better join and at least say I have learned much about lasers pointers. Thank You all.

I would also like to say Thanks to "Styropyro" for making his youtube >> DIY Video << which is how I found  this site.

I do have a couple of ideas for projects but I will read more before I say anything in case they have been tested already.

Keep The Testing Going.

Now Back to my Trolling

Well I know you know what I meant.  :P

I do have one question; Is there a Vent or TS server somewhere you Ladies & Gents chat on?

If it metered at 75mW, you would get 75mW with lenses. 1mW=1mW. Lenses just focus it to a smaller point. It will burn better though, my X100 takes two seconds to light a match, but with a lens, it lights instantly.

Hi, new to the forum and total newbie to lasers. Found a link to your site when looking up laser safety goggles. The last few hours I've just been looking at the different posts and photos on here. Lots of really interesting reading. And have heaps more to do. ::) Don't have a laser but am interested in learning about them.

Great forum

I would like to say about guastafeste that bought phoenix 75, he looks disappointed , but aren't Wickedlasers one of the best like dragonlasers, and their prices are really high, especially WL?

Hi there. I'm a newbie, but I know a lot of theory (but not too much practice). I own a handful of red laser diodes and a DPSS green ($40 at Spencer Gifts). I'm interested in full-color laser effects and in holography. I have managed a few underexposed holograms with red laser pointers.

I'm eager to build my own blue/violet laser now that my dreams have come true and the prices have gone from obscene to reasonable. I'll be asking for tips on the appropriate threads. See y'all there!

Thanks for the welcome-cool forum- lots to take in -and lots to learn-<(*u')> thats me with one eye out= just kiddin') I hope)-laserlen

Hello everyone! I have been an Argon laser enthusiast for a long time. Now I am into diode green and blue-ray lasers.
I own a mini-lathe and realized how useful it could be to this hobby. Thanks
