LoL It's alright. If nobody gets the answer I will give a hint after a while but I'm sure there are a few people on the forum who know what laser it is, and a lot of people have probably heard of it but not seen it.
 
My guess would have to be a laser designator for laser guided weaponry.
 
If you look at the machine that the pipe from the laser leads to.. it looks like it has a face on it :D



It looks like some sort of scope.

Something crazy to do with lasers and magnification??


Perhaps a laser that exicites certain things to create a certain image?

Thermal or something?
