Visible at daylight

I just remembered, that was the laser that I was going to buy of you. I remember that picture. Such a large laser head. :)

I've got a ~3W that's pretty visible in a well lit room.

Thanks Curtis, that thing lights up the whole room, everything turns green, if you look at the wall behind the laser, and the side of the humidifier, those are reflections from nearly 30' away!

I guess this would be a good time to turn everything green, since it is almost St. Patricks day! :D

Edit: @ Alaskan, no animals were injured in the process. :yh:

You're welcome BowtieGuy. I can only imagine how bright it is.
Alaskan, I was going to buy it for my very own pump for a cw dye laser. :)

I see, yellow is so cool. How much power did you think you might try to get (I know, as much as possible and depends on the drive power).

What is a mm on laser? How can I understand what mm is mine? So is a 3 mm brighter than 5 mm?

:banghead:

A millimeter(mm) is a mm ?

They are talking about the diameter of the beam. You can see the difference in the pictures.

Get a metric system ruler and measure the diameter.

At same output power a 3mm is brighter than a 5mm. It is called power density---milliwatts per cm squared.

got it.. thanks man thats what i thought. Also it is a really important thing I guess

Alaskan, I'll pm you later. I'll work out roughly how much power you can get at 582 from a 4w 532.
