Thanks Curtis, that thing lights up the whole room, everything turns green, if you look at the wall behind the laser, and the side of the humidifier, those are reflections from nearly 30' away!

I guess this would be a good time to turn everything green, since it is almost St. Patricks day!

They are talking about the diameter of the beam. You can see the difference in the pictures.

Get a metric system ruler and measure the diameter.

At same output power a 3mm is brighter than a 5mm. It is called power density---milliwatts per cm squared.
