I watched The Fountain twice now, watched it again last night after 3 years, second time through I saw far deeper meaning, the first time I didn't realize I really wasn't tracking, this time understood what they were really saying throughout the movie, I really enjoyed it.

I can't say I like that, more use of lasers like that in any country and our pointers will be banned more and more places. There are high powered flashlights which could do the same thing which aren't so dangerous to vision, but those are more expensive and far less of them in public possession, so that won't happen.

Considering what is going on in Hong Kong now, I understand the protesters frustrations. The communist Chinese government is seeming to make a power play there and to get political protesters sent to mainland China where they would suffer greatly. I don't believe lasers are the answer, but I understand the why.

Agreed, what China is doing with such a technological strangle hold on their people to control them will end up in an uprising, sooner or later.

It already did. The tiananmen square massacre of 1989 was the Chinese communist's way of stopping what had happened in the USSR by Gorbachev only because the military did not intervene against Gorbachev. They learned a lesson from that that they would not repeat. Better to kill hundreds or thousands than to give up your grasp on power.

Seems most of the problems we have are centered around power.

No, I just happened across the video today, only disappointment in it is no beam shot. Of course, if you have seen one 07E beam shot, you've seen the same thing, if using a common ~6 mm diameter lens, but I still enjoy seeing them.

Yes that's a good looking HH and makes me think of build ideas, but I already have projects on the back burner, always more ideas than time/money to do them.
