That's a great idea. Do you know how I can get a recording of that? I would like to give it a try as asking to be taken off has never worked for me.

I just recorded it on a handheld digital recorder and played it into my phone when an auto caller called, now I haven't had a call for days.

Here's some audio:

Yes for a while European law had manufactures block any readout in excess of 299kph to discourage people from going faster just to see the number 300 or some silliness, as if 186mph is ok but a 187 is too much......anyway you can see the tachometer keep climbing after 299 freezes, many manufacturers put a 199mph governor on US bikes but everyone can buy a replacement ECU, that's how tuners get past the " Intellectual property " BS, even Holley sells an entire fuel system with ECU for LS tuners, now you see everyone at the track with a lap top adjusting fuel/air, timing and boost pressure and they tune by gear which is a great idea but kind of like cheating by our old world standards LOL.

I recently played the " BOOP BEEP BOOP You have reached a number that has been disconnected " into my phone when a marketer called and now the calls have stopped for the last few days, it's as if the auto dialers added my number to the disconnected list.
Yup, I saw the tach rising and forgot to mention it when posting.:)
I know what is the difference between 1 mph when your doing 185:D:wtf:
Reminds me of a Seinfeld episode where he's doing stand up during opening credits and is talking about sky divers wearing these little helmets. "Doe's it really make a difference? at this point the helmet is using you for protection":eg:
Need to re look the vid and see just how much the rpm's rose when he first hit 299 and wonder just how fast.

Roughly in 6th gear he's doing 299kph/186mph @ 12500rpm and he hits 13500 near the end which would be 325kph/202mph roughly, it's safe to say he cracked 200, today some factory bikes and cars will do that right off the showroom floor, the AWD electric cars are going to change the game though, Tesla already has been showing us the way and it's really still in it's infancy, the new limiting factor with computer controlled AWD electrics wont be traction so much as it will be keeping it on the ground, but they will need 4 reasonably wide tires pulling when they get into the single digit 1/4 mile times. I'm looking forward to improved battery technology. :D

The kawi H2 is factory supercharged, it's a tribute to the old 2 stroke triple IINM.

Million dollar car or a 25k bike, although that computer controlled all wheel drive Veyron has a mean hole shot.

Isle of man 2018 highlights.

Lots of great videos, Red, especially like the racing ones!

The Bugatti vs Kawasaki vid. kind of suprised me, I thought that the Kawasaki would have gotten the hole shot, and the Bugatti would have came on strong at the end.
I think that a longer race would have the Bugatti out front.

As far a million dollar car and a twenty five thousand dollar bike with equal performance goes, I'd be in the car every time (if I could afford one); 200+ mph on a bike is a death wish, although watching the Isle of man race was a blast.
I actually think it was the spectators at Isle of man that were the ones with a death wish!

+Rep when the system allows!

Well the guy riding the bike got a pretty sloppy start, it even said it was his 1st ever drag race launch which is something you need to practice for each bike you own, so even if he was good at launching his old bike he would need to learn the new one, the bike actually did run that monster car down which is impressive, but in another 1/2 mile the Bugatti would have come back around. ;)

I guess I could google:whistle:
What about a road course? Could a super bike out corner a new Vette, this Bugatti?
Do they measure slalom G's the same on 2 wheels?

Those bikes seemed awfully impressive at the Isle of man road course; it would be interesting to see a lap time comparison at someplace like Nurburgring.

Edit: Looks like plenty of videos about this subject.

Edit #2: Check this guy on a bike getting hit by a car while going 105mph on the track, and not wiping out, accident is at about 7:30 in the video.

LOL that guy on the BMW 1000R gave a good fight, that's what you have to do, never stop fighting.

-----edit-----

Looking at some average run of the mill races the 1000hp AWD Bugatti Veyron ran a 10 second 1/4 mile at 140mph which is good for a factory car, although the dodge demon runs in that range, the Kawasaki h2 ran a 9.4 at 161mph or 260kph.

I know I posted this before, but here's the Veyron with just some rich kid driving on the autobahn, watch @ 3:10 when he hits the gas after the black wagon moves over, if you showered down on the gas in a 1000hp classis car going into that big bumpy dip in the highway you would be smoking tires and fighting for control, but that veyrons traction control made it a non event, pretty amazing really.

Red, looks like you deleted that one video but I saw that bump and dip.
All you heard inside that beauty was the whining of the turbos:D
I can't understand why they used cast iron drum brakes on all 4 wheels on that beauty?:eg:

Encap, i'm sorry iv'e yet to see your robotic video's, I sure will though:)

Ron White --very funny guy

Thanks for the video, Encap, Ron is a funny guy! Another great comedian that I enjoyed watching was George Carlin. :yh:

Since we've been talking about Bugatti Veyrons, I remembered a photo that I had taken a few years ago when I visited the Lingenfelter collection.
This is a informational placard placed in front of Lingenfelters 2007 Bugatti Veyron; this is now a somewhat "older" car, but the statistics are still impressive.

The one statistic that really caught my eye was the last one at the bottom of the placard. How's that for MPG, or should I say, GPM!

Sorry for the lousy pic quality, if you can't see it, it says - "At wide open throttle, the engine is capable of draining all fuel in 12 minutes"

"At wide open throttle, the engine is capable of draining all fuel in 12 minutes"

That happened to me once Jeff, in the outback.
I had just filled up and I was cruising along, wasn't even revving its guts.
12 mins later found out a stick had punctured my tank.
We have strong sticks in the outback.

Seriously though, that is amazing stats on that Bugatti.

Just as I thought, everything is out to get you in the Australian outback, not only every living thing, but even the damn sticks are going after you! ;) ;)

Next time, be sure and take some matches along, you'll be able to show that stick a thing or two!

So true Jeff.
Everything in the outback, dangerous.
I might light the stick a bit further from the pickup though.
With fumes and all......
