Videos from youtube you wish to share.

I have noticed you making YouTube videos lately, Chris. Are you going after a following? I thought your video not only showed the color of that wavelength, but also how bright the beam is in a well lit room. Increase that wavelength by just 5nm and you'll see a totally different color. Instead of light blue, you'll have a green/blue light that is very obviously not the same even when they are not shown together.

That's a good video, Chris, it really shows off that effect quite nicely, thanks for making it and sharing with us! :yh:

What a brilliant wavelength, that video showed it off well. :)
Now if you thought oncoming beams look bright, did you know laser beams look brighter here in the UK, and even more so where I live?
That would make for some serious beamshots. :D

Ah, I think that's called the "UK effect", and it's epicenter happen to be right where you live, cool! ;) ;)

Pretty beam Chris and you demonstrated the effect. :gj:

I have a big wall mirror that gets lased daily myself, and YES, Safety First is the most important thing.

You could always trash them up a bit with crap that just isn't true. Seems to work well for others making a job out of reviewing stuff on YT. :o

Yeah, I haven't paid any attention to that. Any silly end of the world crap will get you at least a million followers. :tinfoil:

I was wondering why the beam was so wide coming out of the mirror. That would explain it.

Stop in and say hello to our friend photon if you get a chance, he's had a rough time with government, and he has a couple of interesting ideas but I see problems with it.

#1 As far as splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen, I know when you burn hydrogen and oxygen you get heat energy and water, so the energy put into separating it is what you get back, minus the inefficiencies of your power generation, but I don't see any trapped energy there.

#2 The concept of converting the kinetic energy of the spinning earth into electricity could work, but do we really want to start doing that ?
Yes the moon causes drag that results in our tides, and that is a lot of energy to move water, but we need our spinning earth to keep our magnetic field in place or the solar wind would strip away all our air, my point is even though it's a lot of kinetic energy if we could leech from it we would at some point have a 25 hour day, it's not really sustainable as it's not renewable.

JEESS! Peter, you have way too much time on your hands, buddy. I would have never watched that but for your bringing it to the fore.

Nice video styro, I think most of us have played with the same toys. :)

I hope lasers have a long run in the future of displays, maybe we will see some holo displays before too long.
