Looks like another BDR-209 engraver. If it is inexpensive, I like it. Otherwise, depends on price. It looks like TTL instead of PWM. So....?
Just had a look at it... Interesting..Kickstarter here, with prices: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/880456201/cubiio-the-most-compact-laser-engraver
Yup... you hit it on the head... Lack of Laser SafetyIt looks like nice little engraver, although it also looks like recipe for potential disaster, by marketing it to people with no laser experience, and most importantly, no safety eyewear.
No safety glasses in sight, little kids, reflections, using it in public places, it looks like an accident waiting to happen. That being said, where can I get one?
Yeah... sounds about right....:crackup:They won't be going on sale in this country any time soon, you can't sell a >5mW laser pen, let alone an ~1W burning engraver.
Can't you just see all the women carrying one of these around in their purse; before you know it they'll be trying to give each other tattoos with the damn things!

Someone also asked on the Reddit thread if they could tattoo themselves with it.
