Very cheap lathe!

Get a popular mechanics or hot rod magazine and there are usually 20% off coupons which would bring the price down to $58

Please pardon my failure to use the search button. I was browsing HF and got very excited when I saw that price

How do you like it? I was pondering it.

This is discussed a bit at the link above. However, it works well for small things. I have made two small custom heat sinks and used it to "adjust" a couple of more to deal with inconsistencies in the Dorcy host.

Peace,
dave

Now ..... as i've said in the other post, here those tools are insanely priced ..... so i sent an email to Harbor Freight customer care department, asking how much can cost send one of these tools in Italy ..... they claim in the FAQs that they ship worldwide, but i want to see if they really take my question seriously for something so weighty, and how much it can cost, if they say me that .....

Hell, for that what we have to pay here, also if they ask 100$ for the shipping, is still less that going in a hardware store and pickup one myself here ..... just want to see ..... :wtf:

I was just at a harbor freight store today and didn't see one this small but they did have a 7"x10" for $299.00.

I want one, and I want to fit some cheap stepper motors to one for a DIY CNC lathe :D

If y'all will read the link I posted or at least the link the OP posted you would see that these are out of stock and on "backorder". With this extreme price reduction, they are probablyu discontinued. Ask questions of Harbor Freight if you must, but be prepared.

Peace,
dave

I picked one up for my cousin. It may say "Availability: On backorder" but I find it odd that they put a page back up for it if its really discontinued. During the 1st thread they took down the page entirety shortly after they ran out.

But then again they don't seem to have a good system of tracking anything. I placed my order Way after everyone else, technically After they took the page down (ask me no questions, I'll tell you no lies) & I still got one. It was shipped from across the country & members who live closer to where mine shipped from (& who ordered weeks before) were told they had no more left to send. Their order fulfillment & inventory tracking sucks.

Its a really great deal even tho it is a rather small lathe. Won't cut threads but could do heatsink easy or even a whole host if you don't mind using a tap & die for the threads.

So send an email or just try to order one if you want one, you never know.
Worst case they are discontinued, but won't lose anything in the attempt.

They replied me, but they stated that international orders are only for "in stock" items, no intl orders are possible for "backorder" items ..... ah, well .....
