Hi All,

In addition to getting access to a real-time chat system for faster communications and "LPF Site Supporter" status, the $5/month subscription will also remove various ads such as Adsense network, Media.net ad network, and the TopLaserPointers.com links. Only static ads like Sanwu, Jayrob, Laser Pointer Store remain.

LPF needs your support -- please consider subscribing at https://laserpointerforums.com/account/upgrades -- you can cancel anytime if not satisfied.

Thanks for the consideration.

You know I like red everything, but in this case the gold fits better I think, red looks more like a warning or something.

I was wondering if the site supporter/donation banner is able to be switched off for site supporters? It's not a bother on the full site, but it's a bit of a pain on a narrow screen (mobile) as the text wraps and it ends up filling the entire screen :P

@Immo1282 don't think it's possible to switch it off ; I'll see if any other potential workaround

Thanks - Not a massive thing so don't worry about it if there's no general complaint against it. Loving the new forum so keep up the good work!

I will donate some next pay - first need to pay off my MC, after buying my new toy (80D with sigma 18-35 f1.8) Should be great for beam pics :)

Do I need to go on a subscription, or can I just donate a fixed amount every so often?

You can PPal any amount anytime ( click 'donations')OR do the auto pay $5 per month and get all the extra stuff and can anytime cancel .
Pretty sweet deal anyway you do it.

Im on-board, Thanks Ave :coffee:(y)

Are the popmyads something that will stay? I was getting loads of new tab popups while browsing the site, and then when clicking the login button another popup would trigger covering up the login form. Some of the pop-up tabs were the about:config trying to do something funky with the PDF reader.

To rule out anything funny on my machine; I tried it in a fresh VM, and on my other Ubuntu machine with the same results in Chrome.
Is this something that is going to stay? It was almost like visiting one of those bad porn sites from a few years ago.

The popmyads is removed for now at least (before it was only showing to people that were not logged in).
