Sorry for the thread jack, but just so I don't do the same thing with my 445 how do you short out the leads? Also, what else can I do to prevent ESD or electrical buildup?

touch the two driver wires together or place a screwdriver across them- ESD wrist straps connected to Earth Ground are a good start and there are work station mats and other precautions as well.

Many of us here, including me, have posted here many times of our "AW POOP" incidents. My last one was so obvious AFTER the fact that I just walked away and went to bed.
