Two 20mw 635 diodes; 9mw total output

Hey all, I am using a 25 ohm rheostat potentiometer, and turned it up slowly and the diode is outputting a very bright light, i am not sure what current i am at, but i am sure that it is putting out a light equivalent to 20-25 milliwatts.

EDIT: If you guys want to see a picture of my setup i can post one.

How do you know if it is 20-25mW if you don't the current and have no lpm to measure it ? Are we even talking to the same diodes here ?

Don't necro-post a message if it has nothing to do with the topic.

i compared it to my 30mw green pen and it is slightly less bright. We are talking about the modwerx 20mw red diode, yes? I calculated the current to be about 83 milliamps. And don't tell me that I'm off-topic when i'm obviously talking about the same things you are.

You do know that although the 635nm diodes are closer to the green spectrum than regular 650/660 reds visually it shouldn't be as bright even if they were both 30mw and even then he's right you have to lpm to test your theory.

well, I guess you're right. But i know that the laser itself is powerful enough on my setup to burn black tape with only an aixis lense
