Jriga has deleted his posts but I don't think they can add up to 20 pages.
Has he left or banned from the forum?
Left. I was simply tired of defending myself against forum members who didn't like what I had to say, and felt it their duty to degrade, whine, kick, scream, negative rep, and anything else they could think to do. Free speech isn't valued here, that's for sure. And I had plenty of other things I should have been spending my time on, so I switched tracks and worked on my other hobbies. I'm disappointed after those bitter arguments to return and hop back on the forum only to see the situation has not been solved.
I had this EXACT scenario play out when I bought a new Mac on eBay some years ago. Highly respected Seller, 4,000+ positive transactions, very very few negatives. Once the order was placed he communicated for weeks, and delays kept popping up that were just plausible enough to keep on the chain. They ran out of stock, there was a shipping mistake, the funds had been held and will be release in '3' days, it shipped but to the wrong address... took 2 months before I finally realized that I had been taken. I only recovered half of my money and ended up going after PayPal with an attorney. It was a real mess...
I posted all I did about PayPal and banks because Igor's posts and few emails sound EXACTLY like the mess I had already been in. The guy that scammed me never intended to. He accepted a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round of orders. He bought the Round 1 people's laptops with money from Round 2. He bought Round 2 laptops with money from Round 3. etc etc etc etc - he built a semi-successful business with this. Enough to get to 4000+ transactions anyway.
The problem with this is that someone at the end has to get left holding nothing. This Seller had some other issues with another business and his funds that he had accepted from me and others (which was just another round of orders to him) were seized - leaving him with no money and no way to give us our merchandise or our money. With immense pressure coming from all over, he made the poor decision to skip town. It was thanks to my, and other's, legal efforts that he was found and is now in prison.
When all this started with IgorT, it just FELT like it was happening again. Much of the story above is easily transferred to this issue with Igor. I don't have anything to add, other than what I added some time ago - so I won't pollute the thread any further other than to say I'm sorry to see this is still going on, and for many of you, I still believe your banks will help you out.
For you 'senior' members who want to bash and argue, do it via PM, not in-thread. Or just skip it? As it stands I've been right so far... and that is unfortunate. I'd much rather have stopped back and seen everyone's new laser photos and reviews.
