PeerGuardian is nothing but snake oil. Sure, it might block known addresses from connecting, but it's entirely likely that they are using unknown IPs on a normal business line. Furthermore, all blocking the IP will do is stop you from directly connecting with that IP. The companies can still look at the swarm and get your IP address without directly connecting to you. In other words, PG2 is worthless and provides nothing but false security and blocking legitimate peers.
You can always move away from torrents and use something like Usenet which is straight leeching. Usenet providers (often your ISP will provide access) are not responsible for content posted to their servers and as such, it's been a massive storage grounds for piracy for over 20 years. If you choose to upload, simply pick a host which states that they don't keep logs, such as Astraweb.
