Hello everyone,

The other day I noticed the thread title of my review changed. I went back to the very first post I made and it was changed, there was no edit stamped on my post. So it must have been done by someone with high level access, it was changed to "Wicked Lasers Krapton "1W"

You'll notice by the edit I done, I went and edited my first post and changed the title back to the original title of "Wicked Lasers Krypton "1W"

I think this is an abuse of someone's "power" and I don't think it's fair, this should not be permitted or tolerated :tsk:

LOL, took you this long to notice.

Anyone can change the title on each post of any thread. Sometimes the system glitches, and adds the title of the person who changed it on their post. Its happened to me. For some reason I cant change the "33 Reasons" title in my own thread.

Does that make sense?

You're the :eg:.......:crackup::crackup::crackup:

You need to do that on the WL Forum.... ROFLMAO....

If any of the super moderators edit a post, there is an edit comment (identifying the editor) left at the bottom of the thread.

As TJ stated, individual posters can edit the title of THEIR post.
Any posts posted in reply to the one with the changed title will now bear the new title
If a poster replies to the OP it will have the original title

Since I cannot imagine a scenario in which Avery would edit that in your OP, I am only left with some sort of software glitch.

If I understand your statements, you have already corrected this, right?

Peace,
dave

**EDIT**
-- I just found the thread and checked the edit history. The forum shows that "Krapton" was the original title when you posted the thread

Yes I already know about the Title change that anybody can do for their posts, that makes perfect sense. What I'm talking about is the whole entire thread starting with my post #1 was somehow changed. I went an edited the title for post #1 and then that whole page changed back to the proper title, but then I found another page where I had to do the same thing to get the title to go back for that page to the original title. IF someone wants to change their own title for their post, I really have no issues with that, self expression is fine with me even in a thread I started; that's not what this was about.

Just trying to cover all the bases in the discussion

The forum shows that Krapton was the original title.

It doesn't show any edits beside your own edits

No super moderator can edit a posts without the forum leaving a note

Since (as I said) I cannot imagine Avery doing that to your thread, I am left with just scratching my head

I'm not even sure that Avery could do an edit without notation

Peace,
dave

I wonder what caused electron's turnaround on that same Laser...:eg:

So that leaves us with a pebcak error or a software glitch

Peace,

Actually NO it most certainly was not, that is why I edited my 1st post on 3/9; that simply is not correct or accuarate.

w/o having access to the back-end (database) I know two other ways to prove I typed in the Correct Title.......So make all the fun you want

Here's what google search shows :na:

That can't be fooled by a change to the SQL database, cache is available.

Relax!

<< Save me from people with thin skin >>

Despite your double post to "defend" yourself, we are still left with a mystery

It was either user error or software glitch

There was and is no "ulterior motive" or "move against you"

Peace,
dave
