The New Rayfoss 350mw Laser Pointer(RF532-350mW-FGB )

It's essentially half the important parts of the laser. Without it, it won't work. Green lasers require two different IR (Infared) diodes, plus some optic magic, to create a 532nm wavelength, i.e. 'green'. Now, without the 808nm, all you get is what I BELIEVE to be 1060nm which is even higher IR. So, you only get infared. Now, it isnt a DIY thing you could repair, and I suggest you try not to. Somebody else care to ellaborate?
I bought it new it has 6 months warranty from rayfoss.Do you know that I have to pay them for repair or not ?
So I got a IR burner atm?

Wow, that is wrong in so many places. First off there is only 1 diode, it is 808nm, then the light from that is converted by a crystal(not optic) to 1064 which is then doubled to 532 using another crystal(KTP). Research before you post, If you don't know what you are talking about don't spread misinformation by posting.

:wtf: Please read more info on the forum, and do not post advice that you are not clear about the facts. You need to read and learn how DPSS lasers work before offering advice on the topic... Green lasers use ONE 808nm pump diode...

I only posted what I had read on another place, and that's what I learned as far as how it worked. And I didn't know there was a proper definition for 'optic' A crystal to me is an 'optic' given tha it alters light in one way shape or form, and/or presents it. Glasses, alter light hense optic, crystals alters light...optic. Sorry for posting what I learned to be fact, it's what I 'knew' evidently I knew wrong.....I apologize, so please disregard everything I said, except for the fact that you should leave the repairing to the profesionals given that you, just like I evidently, would not know what you're doing...again I apologize.

And I can't comment on whether you have an IR BURNER other than an IR 'light' since I wouldn't know enough to confirm or deny such querries, I do know however that you should still retain such precautions as would 'normally' be take with such, whether its 5mw or 500mw, just be careful since you don't know. 'Never walk in a field which could be home to mines, mines don't talk, move, or eat or drink, you never know what could be lying below'. Just act like it's dangerous if anything, unless you got a LPM to test it. And again I apologize for trying to provide information that I wasn't positive on, that was a big mistake I see

No problem really and I appreciate your help.I will send it to Faona soon she said that she will replace it.Maybe I pay some more money and get the 500mw of this host.

...I gave you bad information, that's like thanking somebody for telling you to jump off a bridge...I told you to disreagrd it, not thank me for it. The 500mw was just a number, I wasn't saying you really might have that. I'm telling you to treat whatever IR you have like it is dangerous no matter what. Please don't take my information at fact, because evidently it is the complete opposite....

Wait...were you saying you're getting it replaced, AND you might go buy the 500mw version?

Thats what it seems to me;)

Be cautious with the 500mW version, look what happened to your first one, more rated output power, more likely it is to be underspec...

I know.I just thank you for you effort :)
No body wants to give false information consciously right?
Nah I mean maybe I can get the 500mw one of this model by paying more money.

Yeah maybe Rayfoss can't handle that kind of power.I will speak with Faona when she wakes up lol.

Nah I didnt yet.Im waiting my 3000mah 18650 Ultrafire Battery.

You are going to try a new battery in it before returning it right?
Because thats the first thing Faona's going to ask you.

Yeah I will before I send.I still waiting the batteries to arrive but I posted the pictures of the infrared dot which can be seen on the camera and they said it's LED,d broken :(

I've talked with Ms. Faona.Gosh I like her even more now.She said that my laser will repaired or replaced for free and apogolized for causing disappoinment. This lady is really gentle and kind.I will send it by DHL on May 11 for faster shipping.I trust her 2xmore now :)
I strongly recommend rayfoss lasers because even if you have a problem like me they get it solved kindly and helpfully.

Yes, she is known for good customer service, I was surprised with all the issues lately but looks like they are holding up their good rep for now. Glad it worked out for you:D
