thanks man "on to something" as you have what appears to be a great design in respects to a buck/boost driver for our hobbie... that is a great thing man!:thanks:

foulmist,
will your driver be able to boost 9mm 445 at ~2.1A? If so, I do have a 930mA version from cajunlasers. Could I replace the set resistors with two 0.47Ohm 1/2W (0.5*2.1/2) resistors such as these: RL1632R-R470-F Susumu | RL16R.47FCT-ND | DigiKey ?
Thank you
Nevermind,
at 5V you can only feed it 1.4A according to this:

FMT drive will only boost to 5max according to specs... ehh
Perhaps in the future someone could test the diode and post voltage-current-output table on these and m140 diodes (so far we only have the data for a130 and a140 diodes)
P.S. were my calculations for the resistors correct atleast? (resistance and Wattage)
actually you should be able to use the fmt drive

check this post.
2200mA at 4.9V There is a graph also
Oh you are right, dunno where the hell I was looking.
I have calculated the Wattage for the resistors based on the (0.5V*2.1A)/2=0.525W per resistor is this correct?
yes they will work just fine
be sure to heatsink the bottom of the driver nicely at that current
