The most beautiful wavelength?

488nm and 589nm are gorgeous. 589nm is real warm and fuzzy, though.

Does anybody have any beam shots of an OPSL 577? That's got to be a beautiful wavelength but I can't find any photos anywhere.

473, 488, 589, sometimes 400. All of them are sooo rare in high powers.
Not really that rare.

473 (up to 1.5W) 473 nm blue laser.
488 (up to 50mW) 488 nm blue diode laser.
589 (um, 3W!!!) Yellow Laser, 589 nm yellow DPSS lasers.
And 400?...
Well, many 405nm lasers are anywhere from 400-410nm, and some members here, have made handheld 405s to 1W from diodes in 12x sleds. So, not that "rare" in high powers. :undecided:
Definitely wavelengths like 500.8nm 500.8 nm cyan laser, green DPSS laser system., 375nm 375 nm UV diode laser., or 435nm are rare in high powers.

Im just saying. For the average laser hoobyist who owns less than 5 lasers... prices are not that agreeable. Of course CNI has this kind of stuff.

True. I don't know anyone that wants to spend that kind of money on an expensive wavelength just because it's rare. :san:

My favorite is 405, I have a lot of GITD stuff and its a lot of fun to make things glow with.

After seeing 589 in person though I think it might have changed my favorite W/L ;)

You just reminded me I need to paint my ceiling in glow in the dark paint..

I think when my house gets sold I'll just leave a <5mW pointer there and a note saying shine on the ceiling in the dark :D
