Okay, okay. I'll need some time to reasearch/reconsider. For now, your verdict of "BS" still stands. I may be able to came back with some names if I try. I may not, in which case I will delete the post. Happy? :) :) :) and I just noticed your fatal typo on your sales thread stating that the sale ended at 12:00 midnight on the 21st... Check mate :)

None of the vets are ass's, they are actually very helpful and kind as long as you get on the right side of them :D

I imagine/know it gets very frustrating when noobs come and ask questions with no regard to helping the community, then just clear off when they get there laser which probably ends up on the news 3 weeks later for blinding a helicopter.

I still think we should have some sort of noob gate when people sign up to LPF, just a quick and simple 3 question quiz that would allow them to meet the wonders of the search button :) But last time I came up with that idea I got bashed :(

AAARRRGGGGGG!! Was just about to buy this green laser when paypal got my acc "limited"! DAMN restrictions....now how am i supposed to buy stuff!
I dont own a debit/credit card that has a CVV2 code to add to that $h1t!
I just think that paypal is overated! Hope that online shops like DX and of the sort would still accept normal visa...

It just pi$$es me off when I take the time to compose a response to a
Thread and when I submit my response....

The Thread NO LONGER EXISTS ! ! ! ......

What a waste of time...

There should be a 7 day Deleted Posts section of the Forum where you
can see the Deleted Posts from only the last 7 days with The Reason...
and Deleted by who... so you know you are not just seeing things..

Jerry that happened to me on my first week as a member of the forum.

Some troll had replied to a thread that was a year old, It was on the top of the "today's posts" list, I replied to the most recent post, then a little later on the first poster DELETED the post I replied to.

(I learned real quick that the quote button is my friend.)

That little maneuver gleaned me a few "don't bring up old posts" replies.

There should also be a small window to retract a post, then after a few minutes, it becomes etched in stone.

VB allows the owner to set time limits on deleting and editing.

Yeah I know some people update posts well after they made them, but that gets confusing, since I already read the original post, I seldom go back and read the same post twice.

Also allowing an infinite time limit on edits give opportunity to someone to change text after they make a fool of themselves by posting something shameful, rude, shocking or lame.

I think he is talking about a thread.

You can sometimes see the original post in the email notification. So if someone changes a post you can still quote the original post in the email. Friggen Rob just did it to me.

That works if you are subscribed to the thread, but I just joined, and was not subscribed to that thread yet.

As for editing thread titles, or deleting a thread you started, that function "thread tools" should be only available to mods and admin.

I just checked, and I don't see how anyone but mods and admin could delete a thread.

Unless you started a thread, and then deleted your original post before replies were made.

I believe you. the thread maker, cant delete the thread, but you can change the title. Before you couldn't change the title, but they changed it for the sellers, and GB's so you can add a "closed" ect. to the title after you sell it.

Yeah, The same thing happens to me but it's when i'm about to post a LOONG reply in a thread and when I click "submit reply", I get the dreaded "BRB folks, forum maintenance" message... and obviously even though I click on "backpage" my elaborate and captivating text is gone forever... AAARgh!!! :scowl:

Someone should make a little message on top of the website warning of upcoming maintenances and thusly avoiding my brilliant diatribes to be vaporized from existence... ;)

I ised to have a problem with that till I switched to Firefox. I used to "copy" the reply on a long reply just in case. Then paste it when the forum came back online.

I hate when my bank takes 3 F#$&ing days to process a check that I deposit and I end up with a $35 overdraft fee on a small purchase. I know I spent $45 on this Jimmy Johns sub sandwich, but it doesnt taste any better, it tastes the same. FFFFFuuuuu.......
