I've been trying for a while now...tried it again, but no matter how far I screw it out, the dot only gets bigger. When I screw the lens into the module as far as I can, I still get a dot that's about 6-8 inches on a wall only 15ft away. Any suggestions?

Are you looking at the dot with safety glasses on? If not, you could be looking at the corona of the dot as well as the dot itself. The dot will look much smaller with the glasses on and also make sure you are focusing at a fixed distance. Try a closer distance. 3-4 ft

personally I avoid glue- springs help keep lenses in place when there is room- a VERY tiny bit of Teflon tape on the threads works for me BUT I did ruin one lens/diode when some got on the die window- avoid Teflon if you plan to continuously mess with yr focus-but most important NO HEAT SINK = no testing -- not just yet-- always good to learn from fails BUT no reason they must be done with spendy laser diodes-

I searched on both the forums and google, but didn't find an accurate answer so I made a thread about it. Sure, I could've went ahead and used the glue that I thought would work, but in the end that would've messed up my 100$ module.

The Lightning Stalker did indeed help me out a bit here, and I thank him for that. However I'm not going to +rep him as he negative repd me for a very silly reason.

In the first place you asked me to remove one specific quote of you, and I did so. Stop bullshitting me on removing every quote of you, and the spambot's quotes because of some "IP-tracking". If quoting someone would result in getting your IP, address and name tracked. There wouldn't be a single forum supporting quotes anymore, and the internet would actually be a risk to use. You really do not know much about computers, networks and the overall internet.

He runs a website called rockbullet.tk. The image is
hosted on there. Every time a host loads the image,
their IP address can be recorded. He can then use the
IP in an attack to attempt to gain control of our
computers or social engineer our ISP to give out our
names and addresses.

I have noticed he now appears to be targeting me
personally. I would appreciate it if you would also delete
the quote of my message as well, as it only adds more
fuel to his fire.

That is one of your PM's to me. First off, the guy had never posted a single image, it was all text. Second off, if the guy wanted to track you, me or someone else so badly, he would've been able to do it with various other methods.

Second PM. You asked me to remove yet another quote which didn't make sense at all. Still I proceeded in removing that quote.

Then I sent him the following PM:

Oh I didn't notice that one. Will remove the quote, no problem.

Then another PM.

The sooner, the better.

That last PM was after I had removed most of the quotes and didn't feel like removing even more, since removing them already didn't make sense at all. Yet he kept asking me to remove more quotes.

I'm not here to argue, but this just didn't make any sense. I did what he asked for, only to keep him asking for removing more and more quotes, which would result in making the thread a big mess.

I believe it's not an image, just plain text. So it probably won't do any harm. You'll have to remove the quote from your own message though, I can't edit someone elses messages.

That character is yours, for sure. You asked me to remove quotes, I removed three of them. That were the ones I thought you meant, and I felt that was good enough. Yet you kept telling me to remove more and more, which didn't make any sense at all. At the end, without properly explaining what you wanted to exactly be removed, you negative repped me.
