lol I didn't say no such thing. But if you must know, I got it from Cajun lasers

First see if the 3.6V batteries work with it just to be sure it's not an input problem. You can always find some sort of battery solution, but it's best to rule it out.

Good, you got it from Cajun. Try out two, hefty li-ions, like 18650s.

I picked up some RCR123A Ultra Fire 3.7V 880mah Protected batteries. They did the trick!!! It's looking good now! I had to quickly set the pot because the diodes got extremely hot quick but she's good to go now.
