Nice!

This one just jumps between the inbult patterns to the beat of the music.

I bought it from Jaycar, but I believe its about $95, since it also has a 10mw green module in it. I paid $170AU for this one, but they are on special for $95 ATM.

Re: From spiro to scanner, this is too fun

Like anything else in life, we can only get better over time. My new personal best has moved away from the spiro and had some fun with scanners.

Not the easiest to mod as the otics for plain green and red (seperate beams) contain no dichros, and to say the least, very little room for and extra laser :-/

My next one will be at least 500mW of 405nm and 150mW of green, with a 300mW red in the mix somewhere ;) I just cant get enough of the blue that 405nm and 532nm make when perfectly aligned ;D

*To view this in high quality, double click on the video and select HQ on youtube. It rids some of the  :mad:pixelation

*Ignore the end of the video, it an ebay ad... ::)

What scanners are you running there?

Nice vid  ;)

Its one I bought on ebay. 20centz with DMX is all it says.  I paid for a RGY and ended up with an RG. I didnt have the patience to send it back, so I took out the 50mW green,, replaced it with a 100mW, changed out the red with an open can, and added a 140mW 405nm 4x.

The seller is chinalasershop on ebay. Not a bad little scanner for the price :)

I just found another gig of pics and video sitting in my camera.. so its back to editing. The best stuff was the last that I shot, after getting the color just right ( 532 / 405 mixed) and aligned.

The yellow comes from combining the red and the green. An RGY scanner only has a red and a green laser in it. Won't your scanner shine both lasers at the same time?

Peace,

It was red and green in that while a RGY will combine into yellow, but this was an RG. It had no TTL connections, and two sperate beams. Green on top and red on the bottom constant on, no combining.

Its now positioned that on the top is violet, when the TTL varies the current to the green, you get ice blue and back to violet. Then the second beam out (middle) is red which doest combine but is blanked via TTL, and plain green below it which blanks the same as the 532/ 405 going in and out of blue / violet

Or something like that :-?

The only two colors combined are green and violet , the green laser is split in two, and feeds both the top and bottom rows.

This was the default setup, 1 mirror no dichro or mounts for one... At 2 mins into the video on youtube you can see the changes to the arangement.

All I can say is, you have to see this in person :D I changed around everything 5 times before saying thats enough... Though im still tempted ill save the crazy stuff for the next one.

On the day I finished this, I sat and stared, and went through a litre of fog fluid constantly in awe ;D
