For an author to have opensourced design under public license will only prevent unauthorised commercialisation of a product. Learning and sharing of the information will not be affected.I think that should be a common practice.

You are right but this is a forum for hobbyists with a pretty useful and informative first front, and with a second one more commercial because it's not easy for everyone to mount a board and someone could offer the mounted board for money. It's natural and obvious.
Probably what made me angry was the first statement "wow, i was working before you to a driver that curiously has the same schematic of yours..." and so on.
However i'm happy that this driver is working good and that many persons are interested.
This is a pm that bobhaha sent to me on 05-10-2012:

After my answer bobhaha sent this on 05-11-2012:

It would be nice if bobhaha to be my friend again :)

Yes... this was my LTC design... so what?

Anyway.. lets put it to rest.. I'm not copying you and even if I did... why would I ask for your permission to use parts of ur schematic? I'm trying to do everything right by you. You gave me your answer... Now I must continue with my own design by my self.

Happy with that? Can we shake hands and be friends again?

Ill take my last post as a yes for the enable pin. And fly away with my jetpack. (Nothing to do here)

P.S.
if you need help for your design, feel free to contact me...

Excuse me to haven't seen your post. What kind of control do you need?
Current modulation, enable/disable control or what else?

ha its alright. i understand the conflict here... well i want to be able to adjust the current, but also add PWM so that i can dim it even more. and so i found the 555 timer in astable mode, and wanted to know if i can simply hook that circuit up to the ic. using maybe a pin that allows for adjustable pwm. i read the ic has internal pwm, so i dont know if pulsing the input would mess with that. i know the STCS2 allows for pwm input via pin. but...yeah you get the question. foulmist answered though, so i saw that, but i just wanted to double check which pin it is
