Hey guys I was wondering if there was a battery that has the same diameter but half the length of a 22650? I know that a CR123a is half an 18650. But whats half a 22650? Thanks for all your help!

Thanks that actually makes sense now. But I think you read my question wrong. Same diameter. So it would be 22325?

Edit: I can't find that freaking battery anywhere. Oh well. :p

Lol, nobody is online its so late. Whats the best way to get 2 batteries into a host that accepts 1 22650? Ive been using CR123a's but I don't like having so much extra room.

I don't know of any cell that meets your requirment, I would suggest typing in 22325 in a google search and see if there is such an animal

Later...

The code for LI-ION batteries is this.

22650 = 22mm x 65mm with a zero on the end. Diameter x length in mm

AFAIK all li-ion use this formula except for the CR123

This is kind of odd.
One would think there is a marked for every combination of batteries/battery compartment.
There is a ½AA and a ½AAA in alkaline and an almost ½x18650-16340 so why not a 22340
for those who prefer 7.2 to the 4.5 of 3xAAA?

I have a nasty suspicion that the battery marked is run by "Big Flashlight" who can just make appropriate drivers unlike us hobbyist. :tinfoil:

(You better get out of here before Flamingpyro gets started on the hacksaw approach to battery sizes :D)

the zero on the end means it's a round cell :D

O yea why don't you just cut the 26650 in half with a hack saw
thanks Toke I forgot about that...
good night it's 3:37am here.

No, if you use a hacksaw, the battery will leak.
You obviously have to cut it with a 2W blue laser, so it cauterizes as it cuts.
