sony NEXELION : first 18650 TRUE 3500mah!!!

The following information is true and accurate at the time of publication.

It says it'll be available at the end of 2011. Good find! I currently use Sanyo 18650s 2800 mAh in my lights and lasers.

The highest capacity 18650s I've seen so far are those Ultrafire BRC 3000 mAh, but they seem be sketchy.

right now, ncr18650 still too expensive for just another 300mAh for me to justify buying. Still want, though.

define true 3.5A hr batteries...? My friend has a set of 4A hr batteries... they work as advertised?

are you referring to peak continuous current?

I have a 16500 or something with 3.7aH, but I have no way to test it.

@Fenzir: What brand is it or production code?

@random person: Capacity for the 18650 form factor.

i have some of those 4000mAh ultrafire batteries, they are ~1600mAh when tested at a decent discharge rate of 1A+

Come on guys you know better then this.

None of those ultra high rated ____fire batteries are up to spec. The only true to their spec cells out there really are the ones harvested from laptop batteries. There may be some others like AW etc that are close but anything found on DX or other chinese site will be over rated.

Yikes! After Sony's bad history on Li-ion CATOs, I'd hate to see one of these go BANG! Apparently Sony still relies on it's Shenzhen factories to make them. But I am skeptical of a battery that size putting out nearly 4A of current.

hmm... don't know about this.
