AHAHAH! I dont have any money right now! but thanks for the heads-up!

And Aryntha said he didnt know whats the math involved into doin the 561nm laser, and at first i thought it was an OPO like the yellow lasers and not frequency doubling, but actually its just a 532nm greenie, exactly like our other handhelds...

differences?

It uses the less efficient 1123nm line from Nd3+ and doubles it to 561.5nm.

So the coatings on the "mirrors" for the Nd laser are for that wavelength instead of the 1064nm line. The pump diode must be the same as one used, lets say to a 100mW+ greenie.

Just dont know if the doubling crystal is the same as the 532nm greenies.

All the coatings are for 561 and 1123 instead of 1064 and 532!

guess its easy, no? ^^

If you want to bridgeover 4 safety features before seeing an output, go for it

ROFL you know your addicted to lasers if...

You Can't wait 3 extra seconds before the beam comes out...

""I gotta see the Beam Now AHH IM going insane... Wheres My Laser!!! I gotta See the Beam!!! NOW!!! Arug....I gotta put batteries in it... WoW this is taking FOREVER!!!.... AHH WHERE IS THE BEAM!!! ARUG I gotta put the pin in... AHHH I still can't see the Beam!!!!.. I'm going insane I just want to see the BEAM!!! Ack!!This is Crazy!! I Gotta push the button Now...... AHHH Why so many Steps......this is killing me...
#$%@#%#%^#^!!:lasergun:$#%!#$^^%#$%

Ahh, (Breathing Really Hard) I'm feeling a little better Now. Wow That was torture... (Deep Exhale) Yeah That was Crazy! I don't think i can go through that again EVER!!! I'm throwing this crap away.... ""

Had to laugh hard

Really, the PGL-III-A has nice features if you have childs or stupid/drunken people at home. But honestly 1. safety key, 2. safety pin, 3. shutter, 4. 3sec power delay is too much if I just want to beam around for a few seconds! The shutter and the short power delay are great features, also keepin the lense clean, but I don´t want to look for two keys every time for a few seconds :D

In the end I haven´t run this baby for more than 15-20min all-in-all. My body and mentality aren´t able to watch that beam porn for more than a few seconds

I was just trying to be funny..... What do you mean by "My body and mentality aren´t able to watch that beam" ? Your disabled like me?

ahahaha!

I actually think id go for a pointer instead of a PGL...bulky, too many safety features (although the shutter is a thumbs up) and using it on presentations in a laser center gets people itching of envy ahahaha!

i guess im using my 1W 445 in my next presentation on friday...cant do worse...i guess i can threat people with that...^^

*"So in this slide we can see...yeah...flames...ud better give me a good grade...or this whole building is going down!!" teacher gets his Ti:Saphire laser from his pocket: "just continue with the presentation"* damn...i guess i really should leave it at home...overpaid institutions...not fair! :eg:

It's not reflecting back a beam. I pointed out the blue and yellow because a beam is actually returning back toward the camera. ;)

It still looks to me like the red is getting reflected back the same but the Green and Yellow and Blue are drowning it out. But I still see it. I might be blind tho i guess... My Eyes Must Be Broken Sorry...

What you're seeing is a distortion pattern, not a reflected beam.

How did you get a 445nm that isn't over like 500mW?

I love my 1.4W but would love to have one I can use mostly safely without glasses... Something in the 5-20mW range. But that being said, your 589 is BEAUTIFUL. Great shots :)

I'd be nervous about a 3 second delay.
I have been known to look in the business end of a flashlight if it isn't working.
Stupidity and absent minded habits might win out on that one :na:
My girlfriend looks at me like I have grown another ear when I clean a gun and (with the bolt/slide open) look up the barrel to see if there is any buildup left.
