Hi guys, my name is Tm.
I need help with some information and knowledge.
I have few PTZ CCTV cameras setup with around 0.0016lux sensitivity, and i need to be able to see at night at about 100-140m away, i totally agree that the IR LEDs is the way to go, but at this range i need to supply around 8-12w ( made a setup and checked ).
i am thinking on getting a 808 or 980nm 400/1000mw laser and running it at 10-90 degree angles. it would be motorized zoom and remote/auto power adjust.
10degree at 5m distance is about 0.8m circle, ill make it to never be able to make a dot, as a safety precaution for humans and animals.
right now i am in a search of options and the main thing - dont want to spend lots of money for a one time test. Laser is not the only option, but, if it works, as i think, it would be the easiest one to implement.
I dont have lasers to set up a rig and run some checks. Did anyone make such a setup and has some data on it, or is able to make one and post some videos? it would help me and others heaps.
