I building a laser out of that exact host myself. I would have sworn that the stock driver in it was an AK-007 though. Are you sure it's not?

BTW, the max power I can get out of the one AK-007 I've still got laying around is only 260mA at 3.7V.

Definitely sure it isn't an AK007. It might be a similar design though.
